What is the service?

As the Covid-19 pandemic sees rise in fear of long-term mental health impact on children and young people, we are calling on parents and carers to not face this alone.

Our team of Wellbeing Practitioners provide uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) techniques and goal-setting to build up emotional wellbeing and resilience in young people and their families.

Who are we?

Maxie Celliers

Hello, I’m Maxie! I have always lived in Devon and I am a CWP. I enjoy spending time at the beach with my dog and seeing my family. I love going out to eat with friends and my favourite thing to cook at home is pancakes and cheese fondue… but not together!

Hi, I’m Alice and I am a Trainee Children and Young People’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) at YMCA Exeter. I love being by the sea (and swimming in it!), walking my dog in beautiful places and practicing yoga. I also love any plans that involve food – nachos are my favourite!

What difficulties can we help with?

The infographic shows the sorts of things you might be experiencing that we can support with. We will also create goals that are driven by you and our sessions will be structured to support you in reaching these goals.

What do the sessions look like?

The sessions would usually be face to face, however, due to the current circumstances during the Covid-19 outbreak, all sessions will be held via video call or phone. Between session tasks are set with your CWP to support you in achieving your goals outside of the sessions.
