YMCA Exeter have been awarded £2,700 from Allchurches Trust in order to enhance our employment support and provision over the coming months.
Our young people repeatedly tell us that they do not feel prepared enough for work, which can often be exacerbated by them just not knowing where to start in looking.
Our workshop-based employment programme is orientated around running micro pop-up enterprises with our young people, familiarising them with workplace disciplines as well as giving them the experience they to start looking for future employment.
Funding from Allchurches Trust will allow us to purchase a variety of capital items needed to help make our pop-up enterprises run as smoothly as possible.

Through giving them an array of opportunities to gain meaningful work experience with us, we hope to move them forward in their employment journey as well as empower them to tell their stories to the wider public.
