We have seen much needed cleaning supplies arrive from local Exeter businesses to ensure the continued health and safety of our 60 young residents.
Toilet rolls, hand sanitiser and bleach spray were amongst the items donated over the last few weeks by local businesses having to close their doors during the current crisis.
As supermarkets emptied in the run up to the lockdown, we were unable to access all the products their 60 residents would need over the coming months. But thanks to the support of local businesses including Bluegrass, The Generator Hub, Devon Business and Education Centre, and Thrifty, Swanky Apple, Cotley Farm Christmas Shop and GK Signs, the residence is beginning to get stocked up.
Gareth Sorsby, Joint CEO of YMCA Exeter, says:
“We’re in unprecedented times, but our focus continues to be ensuring the care and support of our residents. We want to say a massive thank you to all the businesses that came to our aid and donated urgent cleaning supplies. We’re still in need of more supplies, so please do contact us if you can support.”
