An evening with Andy Robertson

Join YMCA Exeter for an evening with Andy Robertson. A journalist for BBC, The Guardian and The Telegraph, Andy is bringing a unique session on how to guide children to healthy video gaming. Drawing on research and advice from his new book, Taming Gaming, the session will equip parents to make informed decisions about the games their children play.

  • Are you worried about the amount of screen time your child is having?
  • Would you like to feel more control of the way your teenager plays video games?
  • Can gaming be enjoyed by the whole family?

  • Are you engaging young people through video gaming?
  • Can gaming be a positive and constructive interactive experience?
  • Would you like to use gaming well in youth work?

Designed for parents, youth workers and carers, this is a session for those who don’t play video games themselves (or who do play and want to find out more). You don’t need to know anything about games to come along and benefit but if gaming does concern you or you want to use gaming for positive interaction, then join us for a unique session on how to guide children to healthy video gaming.

Book your tickets by using the ‘register now’ button at the top of this page. Tickets cost £4 online or £5 on the door. Doors open on the evening at 6:30pm for a 7pm start.

For more information, or for promotional materials for your church or community group, then contact us on 01392 410530 or by emailing events@ymcaexeter.org.uk.

During the evening there will be an opportunity to browse resources from Bridge Books, Exeter’s Christian bookshop, and also find out more about the mission and ministry of YMCA Exeter.
